Israel: Ally or Burden?

Israel is a topic that seems to garner strong responses whether it’s at the dinner table, online or listening to the President’s latest (attempt) at speaking.

America’s kids are routinely taught in left-leaning schools that much of the conflict is due to Israel’s refusal to ‘share land’ and as such the ‘freedom fighting Hizballah, Hamas and others are simply trying to make room for their Arab brothers and sisters.’ Some take it further, drawing parallels between the gaza strip and the troubles in Northern Ireland, comparing Palestinian ‘warriors’ and the IRA.

Nothing could be farther than the truth.

This malignant information continues to spread throughout our communities, hurting families, poisoning American minds and threatening safety and at what cost? Ultimately who is accountable for the things that are said and for such actions?

* Gwyneth Paltrow raising money for HAMAS/Coldplay endorsing HAMAS’ Palestinian Jihad against Israel (what do people think that means?) Will people stop seeing her movies?

Will they stop supporting Coldplay? (I will because I refuse to fund terror but how many others will?)

*Jill, a fabulous clothing store, fabrics, fashions and selections are to die for – apparently quite literally. I’ve single handedly supplied my wardrobe from this brand for the past decade…until learning, recently, that they too, are a front, for terror.

*The companies, celebrities, brands are seemingly everywhere.

Is the hate for Israel…growing or is the successful building of stealth jihad growing at a pace that you have to be paying attention to notice because so many Americans are still asleep with their heads in the sand? Which is it? Growing evil or does it matter? I think it does.

Israel Apartheid Week is an annual international series of events held in cities and campuses throughout the world.

The goal, per their own recruiting materials is to educate people about the ‘nature of Israel’ as an apartheid system as well as to build Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions campaigns as part of a growing global movement.

Last year, Israel Apartheid Week took place in more than 40 cities.

Strange as the people behind the leadership of these events claim to want peace.

Even more peculiar is the fact that Israel is, in fact, the only state in the Middle East that is NOT an apartheid state. Israelis have (very successfully) created the first multicultural society in the Middle East, the only one that exists where the rights of all are honored and respected.

It’s the only state where Moslems may live peaceably amongst their neighbors, even if they’re female or gay.

They may vote, own real estate, own businesses, work, go to school, have families, live freely and happily without fear or ridicule. It’s a wonderful system that their neighbors across the strip do not enjoy.

The argument regarding Israeli occupation is deeply flawed and enemies have been attacking them since the beginning of the 20th century. Rather than egg them on with fundraisers and praise however, the US should be cutting off enemy funding and bringing them to justice. Naturally, this isn’t happening. It’s sickening.

There are two periods where they were effectively forced from their property, the first time in 70 A.D. and the other sometime around 135 A.D. There’s always been a Jewish presence in Israel and for hundreds of years; the Middle East was easily the most peaceful part of the World.

Some have forgotten that Rahm Emanuel arranged meetings between Yitzhak Rabin and Yasir Arafat back in the early nineties and during this exchange, Jewish leaders expressed the need to create a Palestinian government to remove the rapidly expanding Palestinian population away from Israeli hands. The pressing concern of ‘the day’ was Israel’s inevitable destruction and as such the situation must be handled immediately to manage any potential hostile presence in the region. This seemed agreeable to Israel although certainly not smooth. (A peace agreement including both sides of the Gaza along with the United States of America)

Obviously following incidents in the late nineties as well as September 11th, Israel has remained steadfast in reliability with America struggling to define and contain threats, global and domestic pertaining to hostile enemies from within the Palestinian and other Islam-based territories.

Now we’re under a different Administration that once included Emmanuel, and things have never been worse.

We have a moslem President who bluffed his way into the oval office and since then has appointed several fellow moslems, radical Marxists, Socialists or other unsavory characters that have effectively dismantled our founding papers since 2008. It’s disheartening that those who marched against Vietnam now sit in Washington DC offices, enacting policies, on our dime.

Our President recently arrogantly asked PM Netanyahu to ‘roll back’ their borders to 1967. It’s a good thing Bibi is a classy gentleman. I would have told him (using expletives, of course) “I’ll roll my borders back to 1967 just as soon as you roll yours back to August 20th, 1959 so that Hawaii is no longer a state and you are no longer a citizen”

This Administration continues to lie to the American people and ridicules our allies while bowing to Islamist leaders, something never done in the history of America, turning the United States Presidency into a mockery, something to be laughed at, no longer respected.

Liberals and their universalism demands that Israel make concessions to appease Arabs but this rarely satisfies anyone and the truth is that there is plenty of room for Arabs in other areas and they refused the offer for a separate Palestinian state in 1937, 1939, 1947, 1979, 1993, and 2000.

This Administration’s betrayal of Israel is both shocking and disheartening and exposes the range of evil and/naïve thinking in the people in today’s government and media who seem to not understand (or care) what is truly at stake right now.

This direction should disturb us all

Did Charyse Geurts murder her toddler?

When will Charyse Geurts be questioned for Juliette Geurts murder?

Statistics rarely give an accurate portrayal of the state of children’s rights in America and in fact, according to Jeffrey Bennett, former mayor of Corona, California, fatal child battery and abuse has risen at least 40 % since 1992.

I was first introduced to this horrific reality in 2001 when researching a case in the Pacific Northwest and sadly, the situation has not improved for our Nation’s kids.

Recently I heard about Juliette Geurts, a two-year old twin from Gering, Nebraska, who died as a result of blunt force trauma to the head as well as a four-inch laceration to the liver that caused internal bleeding.

At the time of her death, three adults were present in the tiny home, her mother (CHARYSE GEURTS) and both of the Mother’s boyfriends (DUSTIN CHAUNCEY AND BRANDON TOWNSEND)

The investigation into this child’s murder has been weak at best. No one sealed the crime scene until five days following her death, her twin was not taken into protective custody until four days following Juliette’s murder and since her killing, and all three people of interest have fled town and apparently prosecution.

(CHARYSE GEURTS HAS RELOCATED TO SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS AND GIVEN BIRTH TO YET ANOTHER CHILD, A FEMALE WHO STILL LIVES WITH THE MOTHER. BOTH MEN NOW LIVE IN COLORADO)

To add insult to injury it’s widely known that one month prior to Juliette’s killing, DUSTIN CHAUNCEY was involved in another horrible event (he attacked another person with a baseball bat) which resulted in a short stint in prison. Guess who drove the car that delivered Chauncey to the attack?  

CHARYSE GEURTS. No charges were filed against her; she was never even questioned although she’s confirmed as being ‘present’ in the police report.

This woman had two men living with her and her twin toddlers in a tiny home, knowing that at least one of them had violent tendencies and a hair-trigger temper. No one has questioned her in Juliette’s murder nor have they bothered to question either man.

How is this possible?

(When Jaelyn was taken into custody, four days after Juliette’s killing, it was noted that she had large bruises on her neck as though someone had grabbed her.

Still no investigation although Jaelyn is in the custody of her paternal grandparents in Wisconsin and her Father, although as a Soldier, he’s in Afghanistan and must deal with this from afar)

Is anyone wondering yet how this can happen? How the authorities could be so incompetent as to allow this to continue on in such a disgusting fashion?  

DAVE WARNER, local attorney and aspiring politician (running unchallenged) not only has no answers for the victim’s family, he is refusing to release the police report and related information so they can investigate on their own or have closure.

Countless phone calls, emails and letters have been sent and filed on Juliette’s behalf, to no avail. No one seems very interested in attaining justice for this child.

Why We Should Support Israel?

Israel’s right to exist, to occupy their land is a right that is entrenched in historic relevance.

We have a Muslim President who lied his way into the oval office and since then has appointed several fellow Muslims, radical Marxists, Socialists or other unsavory characters that have effectively dismantled our founding papers since 2008.

This Administration lies to the American people and ridicules our allies while bowing to Islamist leaders, something never done in the history of America, turning the United States Presidency into a mockery, something to be laughed at, no longer respected. Yet, all things considered, Israel must be reckoned with, a formidable force.

Why should the US support Israel? I can give you two solid reasons.

Israel commands the strongest military presence in the Middle East and America would be wise to continue considering Israel a strong ally and perhaps working a little harder on that relationship (perhaps not forcing Bibi to use the servants entrance during meetings at the White House?)

If the powers in Washington had operational brain cells, perhaps they’d use their resources to neutralize Iran’s capacity to maintain nuclear weapons, (yes they have them)

Israel is fundamentally part of the United States’ fabric, part of who we are as a people.

(When the current undocumented President announced that we’re a ‘Muslim’ Nation, he was obviously off of his meds, for we could be nothing farther from)

Our founding draws on the uniquely Hebrew concept of the holiness of the individual and love for the vulnerable. We’re connected for this and other reasons and our destinies and welfare will always be connected, never to be separated.

In many ways, the sacredness of both lands reflect upon one another and must not be banished from political exercise, religion, public life or any other action.

Greedy Clerics

While some of what follows in today's oped in Human Events I've said before, there are some interesting new insights into the mindset of Islam's extremist religious leaders.

Islam's Greedy and Materialistic Clerics
 
As U.S. forces swept through Saddam Hussein's numerous palaces following the 2003 invasion into Iraq, an interesting observation was made in one. "Believers Palace," in Baghdad, located today within the Green Zone, had a huge room where the ceiling opened up to a second floor.
 
Visible on the wall at the second-floor level, but in Arabic large enough to be seen from the first floor, was an inscription with two names. One was Saddam Hussein's; the other Allah's. The appearance of the two together is not noteworthy, however, the order in which they appeared was. Saddam's name was first. To believers, this represents an affront to Allah, suggesting Islam's only deity was subservient to Saddam, rather than Saddam subservient to Allah.
 
But this sequencing -- as disrespectful as it was to Allah -- was more telling about Saddam. It illustrated an arrogance evidencing his personal belief that he -- a mere mortal -- was above Allah. And, that arrogance manifested itself in an opulent lifestyle of entitlement -- entitlement to unimaginable wealth.
 
In 1979, the Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini was swept into power by Iran's Islamic Revolution. The ayatollah oversaw a brutal transition of power that made the French Revolution almost two centuries earlier pale by comparison. But in the wake of Iran becoming an Islamic state, it is that country's religious leaders who today benefit the most from the revolution that brought them to power.
 
As these clerics have claimed for themselves Iran's vast resources, they have broken into the ranks of the world's wealthiest people.
 
The supreme leader who replaced Khomeini upon his death in 1989, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, heads the list of Iranian clerics who are now billionaires. He enjoys a lavish lifestyle not unlike that enjoyed by Iran's Shah before he was forced to flee the country in 1979. An avid horseman, Khamenei boasts some of the finest horses in the world--even flying them to different locations for his riding pleasure when he travels. Clearly, Iran is a country where clerical influence translates into enormous wealth for "men of the cloth" and their families.
 
There is a certain arrogance displayed by Muslim leaders of non-democratic states that manifests itself in the form of personal entitlements. These leaders use Islam as a vehicle by which to secure their own personal power and wealth at the expense of followers who become complacent in accepting it.
 
For clerics, such as those in Iran, Islam serves as a beacon of light--not so much to guide their spiritual life as to guide them to the path of enormous riches. By what claim of right do they do so while their people bear the burden of a struggling economy caused by sanctions imposed as a result of actions by these same clerics in violation of international law?
 
There is a commonality of purpose among these Muslim imams of the extremist ilk, both in Iran and elsewhere, that goes unnoticed by their flocks. Followers tithe at least 10% of their income to clerics who espouse violence and the taking of innocent lives to further the cause of Islam. As the imams' wealth and power grows, so too does the intensity of their violent rhetoric. Few moderate clerics establish the wealth and power enjoyed by their more virulent preaching brethren.
 
In the West, we impose a certain moral standard upon religious leaders providing us with spiritual guidance. When they "talk the talk," sermonizing we should love our fellow man, we expect them to "walk the walk"--and demonstrate this by their daily actions. Nowhere was this standard better exemplified than by the story of the "Four Immortal Chaplains" of World War II fame.

On February 3, 1943, the USS Dorchester--a troop transport carrying more than 900 men--was torpedoed just after midnight off the coast of Greenland by a German submarine. As panic struck those onboard, four military chaplains rushed topside to calm them.
 
The four--two Protestant chaplains, one Catholic priest and a Jewish rabbi--began handing out lifejackets. When the lifejackets ran out, they surrendered their own, without regard to the recipients' faith. As the ship slipped beneath the waves only 18 minutes after the torpedo struck, witnesses observed the four chaplains--locked arm-in-arm--each praying in his own way for the survival of the others. 
 
Contrast this with the hypocrisy of Islam's extremist clerics. They preach to their flocks about followers sacrificing their lives to kill infidels or to conduct suicide bombings that claim the innocent lives of fellow believers. Yet there is no recorded case of such clerics having "walked the walk" by engaging in these life-ending activities themselves. Not only that, their own children seem to have earned a free pass as there is no record of the offspring of extremist imams pursuing such a career path either. In fact, many sons opt instead to follow in the much safer and more lucrative footsteps of their fathers, encouraging a new generation of followers to continue the violence.
 
Thus, as extremist imams preach to their followers that sacrificing one's life and fortune will reap rewards for one in the next life, it is spiritual guidance these same imams choose not to pursue for themselves so as to be able to reap material rewards in this life. As their followers continue to make such sacrifices, these clerics continue to accumulate wealth.
 
While Saddam was not a religious leader, he still used Islam as a tool to manipulate followers to his advantage. But he lacked a core belief in Islam as evidenced by the disrespect he rendered unto Allah.
 
Such arrogance is endemic of a mindset of many Islamic extremist clerics today who simply use religion as a tool for personal entitlements by which to further their lavish lifestyles at the expense of their flocks. Sadly, the road to their personal wealth and power is paved with the bones of followers blindly accepting their hypocritical teachings.

SEDITION

While the left seeks to overturn whatever is left of the American system of government, they accuse the right of sedition, the crime of advocating the violent overthrow of the government. It is hard to tell whether this is a conscious tactic of misdirection, or simply psychological projection.

The latest is a smear-job by MSNBC's Chris Matthews, which apparently uses fringe 9/11 "truthers" and the proto-fascist 1930s leftist Father Coughlin as example of the dangerous ideas of the right.

All of this serves a distinct and dangerous purpose. The left is vilifying the right as violent and seditious, because they are working up the nerve to suspend the freedom of political speech and forcibly suppress political opposition.

I don't think they'll manage to work up enough nerve to go all the way, not yet, but they're already pushing through an intermediate step: the DISCLOSE Act, a chaotic jumble of new regulations on political speech, the purpose of which seems to be to impose onerous restrictions on right-leaning advocacy groups, while granting special exemptions for supporters of the left.

In an open letter to members of Congress, the National Right to Life Committee, a group with a long history of support for the First Amendment rights of political organizations, explains that the bill is not, as its sponsors contend, merely an exercise in making sure groups make information about themselves and their donors available which, in Congress' judgment, the public needs to know. It is actually about discouraging "as much as possible, disfavored groups (such as the NRLC) from communicating about officeholders by exposing citizens who support such efforts to harassment and intimidation, and by smothering organizations in layer on layer of record keeping and reporting requirements, all backed by the threat of civil and criminal sanctions."

What the Disclose Act proposes to do, therefore, is constitutionally dubious but politically advantageous to the Democrats. As written, it includes numerous "carve outs," for groups like labor unions which are part of the party's electoral and political constituency, that exempt them from the wide-reaching dictates of this new law.

This piece of stealth legislation finally made it into the news when the National Rifle Association, which had opposed it, sold out the freedom of political speech in exchange for a special carve-out of its own. Like I've been saying, we have one election left in which the slap down this administration and this Congress and begin the long process of restoring constitutionally limited government to the United States.


"DISCLOSing Contempt for Liberty and the Constitution," Hans A. von Spakovsky, Heritage Foundation, June 17

The House of Representatives is expected to vote in the next day or two on the DISCLOSE Act, a law purportedly intended to blunt the effects of the Supreme Court's Citizens United v. FEC decision. That case restored the First Amendment right of political speech by throwing out a federal ban on independent political advocacy by unions and corporations, including both for-profit and non-profit associations.

The real effects of the DISCLOSE Act will be to deter political speech (including criticism of incumbents, such as its chief sponsors, Sen. Chuck Schumer (D., N.Y.) and Rep. Chris Van Hollen (D., Md.) and political advocacy by corporations and associations that Democrats don't want participating in the American political process. It includes both absolute bans on independent political advocacy and new, burdensome disclosure requirements. Schumer admitted when he introduced the bill that "the deterrent effect should not be underestimated." During a House Administration Committee hearing, Rep. Michael Capuano (D., Mass.) made no bones about the fact that he hoped this Act "chills out all.... I have no problem whatsoever keeping everybody out [of elections]. If I could keep all outside entities out, I would."…

The DISCLOSE Act is the modern-day version of the Alien and Sedition Acts, which were passed by the Federalists in 1798 to quell political opposition from the Republicans, led by Thomas Jefferson. These acts were one of the worst (and most noxious) violations of the First Amendment ever passed by Congress. Under their terms, Federalist judges jailed or fined 25 people, mostly Republicans newspaper editors, and many of their newspapers were forced to shut down….

As always, there are those willing to sacrifice liberty in order to gain a personal or political advantage for themselves. The National Rifle Association, which previously called the Citizens United decision a "defeat for arrogant elitists who wanted to carve out free speech as a privilege for themselves and deny it to the rest of us," has apparently agreed to withdraw its opposition to the DISCLOSE Act in exchange for a narrowly drawn exemption….

Public opposition to the Alien and Sedition Acts was so great that it was major factor in the election of Thomas Jefferson as president in 1800…. If the unconstitutional, partisan, and pernicious DISCLOSE Act is passed and signed into law by President Obama, it will be interesting to see if the American public has the same reaction to this noxious bill in 2010 and 2012 that the public had in 1800.

California University finally bans terror group

 

 

CAIR (Cancer Association of Islamic Retards) in California reported that Campus officials at UCI have banned the Muslim Student Union for one year and placed the organization on disciplinary probation for an additional year, according to a statement released by the Jewish Federation Monday morning. And it’s about time the terror-supporting racists lost their campus support!

The students have appealed the decision, according to Husam Ayloush, executive goat-herder of the CAIR (Cancer Association of Islamic Retards) Their attorney, scumbag Reem Salahi, said based on her understanding of the university’s policies and procedures, what has been issued is not a “ban,” but only a recommendation…

Hey, here is a recommendation….remember how you guys ‘prayed that jews would gather in Israel so you wouldn’t have to work so hard to round them up?’ how about every Muslim returning to Mecca? then we can take care of the problem in a matter of minutes and you’d all be reunited with Allah and Mohammed…everyone would be happy

“THE UNBREAKABLE SPIRIT- PART TWO” 

Mom’s final journey 

 
 

  

 

 

The boys and I used to joke that Mom must be like a cat with nine lives, surviving two bouts of breast cancer, a five-way by-pass, lymphedema, gall-bladder surgery where she’d forgotten to mention that she’d drank liquid prior to her surgery, causing complications and irritating her surgeon, congestive heart failure, thyroid complications, pituitary complications, kidney failure and a brain tumor. My little brother said if he was ever in a plane crash, he wanted to be sitting “Next to Mom, because SHE would be the one person whose area would be unaffected!“ She was that determined in her survival instincts. 

She took it in stride, refusing to worry anyone, maintaining practicality, sense of humor and a clear head until she was unable to process information correctly which would frustrate her, occasionally moving her to tears. 

Despite her long relationship with illness, she remained relatively well until 2009 when her health took a serious turn south and she was told she’d require another heart surgery to repair faulty aortic and mitral valves. Various complications prevented her surgery numerous times eventually disallowing it altogether. Her window of opportunity closed mid-2010 with the news that she was too ill to survive another round in the operating room and that she needed to spend time with family. 

Second opinions yielded similar results and although Mom was referred to Swedish in Seattle, known for their peerless handiwork in cardiac science, Mom’s condition declined further before Swedish was able to confirm her potential placement in their study for problematic procedures. We were devastated, especially when days after this event, Mom decided to check herself into hospice. 

I drove up from California, meeting my brothers and their wives, nephews and niece, aunts, uncles, grandmother and friends who gathered around her to spend her final days together. We downloaded her favorite music on I-tunes, snuck in her favorite foods, sung to her, (she used to sing to us as children, especially the song, “You are my sunshine”) and slept in shifts with the others keeping vigil in order to not miss anything, whether it was her ‘awake time’ or the possibility of her leaving without our knowledge. We didn’t want to miss a single moment of her life much like she hadn’t wanted to miss even a minute of ours while healthy. 

At one point, my little brother brought in key lime pie, one of Mom’s favorites. Her eyes lit up a bit. He started spoon-feeding her tiny bites off of the top, careful not feed her the crusted portion, fearful that she might choke on anything too hard. She caught on quickly and glared at him, using every bit of her breath to blurt out “CRUST!” (her favorite part was the crust) Startled but laughing, Bob gave her a bite with a bit of crust in it, crumbled up so she wouldn’t choke. Our last few days with Mom were filled with similar experiences, laughter through tears. One of her biggest fears had been leaving family, making sure we were ok and at one point, my brother, knowing she was suffering leaned in and told her it was ok to let go and meet Jesus because we were all ok and loved her so much. She had been non-responsive nearly all day but right then, she opened her eyes, looked at him and defiantly said, “NO!” which made us laugh, her resolve and strength knew no limits and although she had previously asked us ‘permission’ to go, now we all felt a little guilty for laughing at her response or for even asking in the first place. Her ‘no’ made it sound like he was suggesting we simply toss her out with the trash. 

Wednesday, June 9th at approximately ten p.m., we noticed that her breathing was no longer labored and within a minute or two she was gone. Oddly enough, she had the appearance of a smirk on her face, like she harbored a secret that we were not yet privy to and would have to wait to find out what the fuss was all about. Mom, a deeply spiritual woman had been excited for days to go and finally meet her maker and expressed absolutely no fear whatsoever. Her only reservation about her death was the potential suffering that may lay in wait for her – she did not wish to endure that part and we truly would have taken that away from her if possible. 

She wanted others suffering from cancers and dysfunctions to understand that help and hope is available for those willing to reach out and help themselves. She always served as her own advocate and refused to accept lower standards for herself or for her children. After her first diagnosis in 1981, her gut reaction was panic and depression and her Specialists told her without reserve that her success was determined by her attitude, therefore she must shift gears, anyway possible and suggested ways in which she might do this. Counseling, swimming, nutrition, writing in a journal, group support, anything. 

Even back then, Mom understood the correlation between body and mind and took advantage of this advice and decided to live – and live she did. They had given her three to six months and instead, this extraordinary woman survived twenty-seven years, raising her own children, seeing her kids find appropriate mates who gave her grandchildren, watched her siblings kids grow up to have their own families, endured happiness and pain, (one Sister buried two sons during this time from complications of diabetes, one of the deaths occurring on the morning of one of her grandchildren‘s birth, she lost her father, an aunt and various other relatives and friends) 

She got to live her life in her own unique way…the same way she handled her death. Mom snubbed her nose at crowds, that was for conformist types. She preferred to do her own thing, digging her heels in with determination once she’d made her mind up. She had a bit on a naughty innocence about her, invented funny words for body parts, swore that ‘Mothers never use the bathroom’ (but then we believed her until we were quite old) yet on the other hand did not want us learning about important things on the playground so she developed a policy that invited “any question or concern, regardless of how embarrassing or terminology used, no rejection!” and she honored it. We were to take anything we heard from another kid, stranger or cousin to her and she would explain what it meant (or she would find out and get back to us) and she would give us the facts, nothing more or less, straight face. (although our father often had a red face and shocked expression during one of these little ‘educational episodes’) it was effective and kept us out of trouble. She also had straight talk about drugs, sex and other behaviors and what people really thought about kids who engage in such behaviors. She was so influential, eyes blazing with passion, we usually listened to her. 

Jeanne Marie (Knapp Belvin) Longpre’ is survived by her devoted husband, J. Timothy Longpre, of Puyallup, WA, Mother, Virginia, of Tacoma, WA, brothers, Max (and wife Joie) in Juneau, Alaska, Chuck (and wife Ellen) in Boulder, Colorado, sisters Donna (and husband Joe) in Tacoma, WA, and little sister Bobbie ’her Irish twin’ (and husband Rick) who divide their time between Washington and Hawaii, her children Mike (and wife Stacy) who live in Battle Ground, Washington, Annie (and husband Rick) in coastal Los Angeles, and Bobby (and wife, Teirsa) in Spanaway, Washington. Mom is survived by 13 grandchildren, relatives and friends who loved her with a passion and will continue to be influenced by her wisdom, humor and insights for our remaining years. 

Although this is a time marked with an incredible loss, it’s not a time for sadness, because she’s in a new body now, doesn’t have to struggle for breath to make her points, laugh or sigh. Mom’s better and so are we all for having had her in our lives, especially that last nearly three borrowed decades. I’m fortunate to get to call her Mother and friend and I’ll love her always.

In lieu of flowers, we’d love for you to contribute to the hospice house instead. They were wonderful to mom and made her final days as comfortable as possible. Thank you, the family.

The coming resignation of Barack Obama

Months ago, I predicted in this column that President Obama would so discredit himself in office that he wouldn't even be on the ballot in 2012, let alone have a prayer of being reelected. Like President Johnson in 1968, who had won a much bigger victory four years previously than Obama did in 2008, President Obama will be so politically defunct by 2012 that he won't even try to run for reelection.
I am now ready to predict that President Obama will not even make it that far. I predict that he will resign in discredited disgrace before the fall of 2012. Like my previous prediction, that is based not just on where we are now, but where we are going under his misleadership.
Is the President Above the Law?
Watergate was supposed to have established that Presidents are not above the law. If that is so, President Obama may have to resign for breaking the law in the Sestak affair.
Rep. Joe Sestak (D-PA) is now the Democrat nominee for the Senate seat held far too long by Arlen Specter. President Obama induced Specter to switch parties and give the Democrats their very temporary, 60 vote, filibuster-proof majority, in return for endorsing him for reelection and promising him no opposition in the Democrat primary. But Sestak had already announced that he was running for the seat, and he refused to get out. Two week ago, Sestak defeated the unprincipled, opportunistic Specter for the Democrat nomination, continuing the perfect string of everyone who Obama endorses and campaigns for going down to defeat.
For months now, Sestak has publicly claimed that President Obama tried to keep his promise to Specter by offering him a high-ranking administration appointment if he would get out of the race. The rumor is that Sestak, formerly an Admiral, was offered appointment as Secretary of the Navy. The problem is that a federal statute explicitly provides that it is a federal felony, punishable by up to one year in prison, to attempt to bribe a candidate with a federal job, or anything of value, to influence an election.
As Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA) has indicated, the White House is now engaged in a coverup that is only making matters worse. Former President Bill Clinton is now claiming that he carried the offer to Sestak of an appointment to an unpaid position on a Presidential Advisory Board in return for dropping out of the race. But that story is not plausible because as a sitting member of Congress he could not have legally served on such a Presidential Board. So is the White House now lying to the American people about the matter?
Moreover, indirectly offering the job through former President Clinton still violates the statute, as does the offer of an unpaid position. That is why Issa, Mark Levin, and others are saying that what the White House is publicly admitting still amounts to a federal crime, which is an impeachable offense. Democrats are going to have to decide if they really believe that presidents are not above the law. Presently, one reason to vote Republican for president is that Republican presidents are subject to the rule of law, but Democrat presidents are not.
Misfeasance or Malfeasance?
But the Sestak affair is just the early breeze of the gathering political storm that threatens to envelop President Obama. A mysterious explosion over six weeks ago in a deep sea oil well a mile below the surface of the Gulf of Mexico continues to gush oil to this day, heading for Gulf beaches and fisheries. The White House says the President held a meeting on it in the Oval Office on Day One. But we have not heard a word on what was done in that meeting 44 days ago, other than develop political talking points.
Democrat talking head Kirsten Powers, writing in the New York Post on May 27, explained what should have been done: "Turns out the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration back in 1994 drafted plans for responding to a major Gulf oil spill, a response called 'In Situ Burn.'…The idea was to use barriers called 'fire booms' to collect and contain the spill at sea -- and then burn it off." Powers cites former federal oil spill response coordinator Ron Gourget as believing "this could have captured 95 percent of the oil from the spill." But, Powers writes, "the Administration's chief response so far was to send out Interior Secretary Ken Salazar to do his best impersonation of a totalitarian thug, proclaiming that the government would 'have its boot on the throat of BP.'"
It is too late for the fire boom plan now, with the oil spreading across the Gulf. Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal quickly developed another plan to build temporary sand barrier islands off the coasts to absorb the oil and protect fragile wetlands and fisheries. The law requires federal approval for such activity. But perhaps because Jindal is a Republican, the hyperpartisan Obama Administration has failed to even respond to his proposal first made a month ago, except to say that it is studying the idea, while the oil starts to wash ashore.
What President Obama has done instead is to suspend all offshore drilling in the Arctic, at least until the causes and solutions to the Gulf spill are discovered. No applications for drilling permits in the Arctic will even be considered now until 2011. Drilling scheduled to begin this summer under already issued Alaskan leases has also been halted. Investor’s Business Daily explains how this punishes the American people, saying on May 28, "Alaska's Chukchi Sea holds more oil and gas than anyone thought – 1,600 trillion cubic feet of undeveloped natural gas, or 30% of the world's supply, and 83 billion barrels of undeveloped oil, 4% of estimated global resources. You can be sure the Russians won't be as reluctant." Nor will the Cubans and their Chinese partners expected to drill in the Gulf of Mexico off of Florida's coasts as well, just as the Brits and others have not been reluctant to drill in the stormy North Sea.
Moreover, President Obama has already begun to use the crisis to renew his political push for federal cap and tax legislation that will cripple the economy with arbitrary, unnecessary, soaring, energy cost increases. Does he plan to hold any future drilling hostage to passage of this legislation?
In the response to Hurricane Katrina, federal law specifically provided that the then Democrat Governor of Louisiana and Mayor of New Orleans were in charge. The federal and FEMA role was to "support…state and local assistance efforts" with the necessary, primarily financial resources. Nevertheless, in the days after the hurricane, President Bush's federal government was the only functioning authority, as the Coast Guard rescued 30,000 people off of rooftops. Hundreds of school buses that could have been used to whisk those people out of harm's way were left ruined under water due to Mayor Nagin's inaction in response to federal hurricane warnings. The partisan Governor acted only to deny and delay President Bush's control over the state's national guard for political reasons.
But the Gulf oil spill emanates from federal waters, which means President Obama is directly in charge, not state and local officials. And his derelictions are losing his own supporters. Democrat Powers writes, "If he promised us anything, Obama promised us competence. Instead, we've gotten the Keystone Cops." As Peggy Noonan said of the Democrats in last weekend's Wall Street Journal, "In time -- after the 2010 elections go badly -- they are going to start to peel off. The political operative James Carville, the most vocal and influential of the President's Gulf critics, signaled to Democrats this week that they can start to peel off. He did it through the passion of his denunciations." Therein lies the beginning of the end.
That end will be greatly accelerated if any email, document, or other serious evidence turns up indicating that President Obama or his cronies delayed the federal response in any way because they thought the spreading spill would advance their political agenda. Or if any evidence arises that Obama failed to respond to Jindal for partisan political reasons.
Geometric Downward Spiral
Moreover, all of this is just what's happening now. What leads me to predict President Obama's early political demise are his numerous, enormous vulnerabilities to further adverse developments, threatening a geometrically accelerating downward spiral, for him politically, and for America substantively.
Now and for the next six months, we will be enjoying the high point of the Obama economy, the tippy top of the Obamanomics, Keynesian, roller coaster. If Art Laffer's Coming Crash of 2011 arrives next year, or if the economy just dips into another downturn, President Obama no longer enjoys the political base to survive it. With African Americans suffering Depression-level unemployment for over a year now, even that most solid of all political bases will weaken and waver in the face of a renewed downturn.
Under the President's leadership, Congressional Democrats continue to pile more and more taxes on the investment necessary to create jobs and prosperity, "the most punitive tax rates on investment income since the late 1970s," as The Wall Street Journal reported on May 27. Even before Obama and the New Left takeover of Washington, the top 1% of taxpayers were already paying more in income taxes than the bottom 95% combined, as the Tax Foundation has accurately reported based on official IRS data. But this is not enough for the Obamunistas, who are justifying still higher taxes saying the rich must pay their "fair share," sort of like the last of the Romanov family had to pay their fair share.
This punitive tax piracy is already starting to cause capital flight from the U.S., which will accelerate into an outright capital jail break from America next year. That will only hasten a renewed downturn, cripple job creation, and restore rising unemployment. The American people will not endure mismanagement of the now two-year-old financial crisis into an extended depression.
Moreover, with the federal deficit already at a record smashing $1.6 trillion this year, a renewed recession next year will only cause it to soar further. How long can that go on before we arrive at Greece, where the markets refuse to buy the bonds necessary to finance the deficit, at least without soaring interest rates, which would only cause further economic decline.
Meanwhile, the Fed has long been busily creating new economic bubbles with its overly extended easy money and zero interest rate policies. Monetary policies so loose that they should be considered pornographic are creating new vulnerabilities for the President, which will arise as sudden surprises involving new dollar, interest rate or inflation scares. When the Fed finally decides it must pull back, it has laid the foundation for the bubbles to burst again, further inspiring economic downturn. Gold is already higher than the S&P 500. That is a blaring warning sign of trouble ahead.
Another blind spot for the President is energy policy itself. Those opposed to further offshore drilling need to end their hypocrisy and stop using the remaining oil and gas still available to the rest of us. Cap and tax is one of the biggest economic and political blunders in history just waiting to happen, a greater potential party builder for the Republicans than Abraham Lincoln and Teddy Roosevelt combined. The American people for once will be unified in coming together to get Democrats out of office so that the obvious, huge, fat, unnecessary, cap and tax cost sitting on top of the American economy can be removed. As the price of gas climbs over $4 a gallon due to that and to President Obama's anti-production policies, the public riot demanding immediate change in leadership will surprise establishment Washington.
Adding to all of this are the grave vulnerabilities posed by Iran successfully developing nuclear weapons, and President Obama's foreign policy weaknesses generally, which just invite war. Devilishly pursuing the opposite of every one of Reagan's policies, instead of Peace Through Strength, Obama is inviting War Through Weakness. If Iran launches a bloody attack on Israel, open calls for his resignation will be widespread. If Iran uses a nuclear weapon in that attack, or in any other attack against American interests, the Obama Administration will be over politically.
The President himself has laid the foundation for his biggest political vulnerability of all. He won our votes and the election in 2008 with "the firm pledge" not to raise taxes "in any form" on anyone making less than $250,000 a year. Now he has already backed away from that pledge to the American people by creating a Presidential Deficit Commission, with "everything on the table," including tax increases on working people in direct violation of the pledge. The much discussed Value Added Tax (VAT) could not be a more direct violation of the no tax increase pledge, increasing the prices of everything working families buy.
When the President directly violates the pledge that got him elected by openly endorsing such a tax increase, his resignation will immediately become a central political issue. The above problems and vulnerabilities will come together to increase the pressure for resignation to unbearable levels.
As Peggy Noonan suggested, the key will be the Democrats themselves (though she has never said a word about possible resignation). After suffering grievous losses in this year's elections, they will have limited tolerance for the above described political pressures and chaos. With the very survival of their party at stake, the Democrats will buckle and desert President Obama, joining the calls for his resignation. At that point, with zero prospects for reelection, and unable to govern effectively, he will resign.

On this Memorial Day (formerly ‘Decoration Day’) I thought it appropriate to focus on what previous generations fought with courage to establish, uphold and preserve…rather than scribbling out a few words on gratitude.

Don’t get me wrong…I’m plenty grateful. But I have questions of my fellow Americans, ones that our previous generations cannot ask so I thought perhaps I would.

As mentioned last November in my piece, ‘Political Islam, Line in the Sand’ we have come to a place in our nation’s history where it is prudent to define who we are as people, a country, and as a culture.

The United States was founded on traditional values, including the freedom to practice one’s own religious beliefs, including nothing, should one desire. Our Founding Fathers could not reach agreement on these matters and as such, they left it up to each individual state.

Just as imperative, we must address the formidable level of fatuity in which this Administration has gleefully unraveled our banking, health care, auto, oil, and housing, and jobs, military, national and global security.

When I heard that the President elected to not visit Arlington for the Memorial Day ceremony, I first thought, “how disrespectful, yet typical of him” but later reconsidered this position, remembering exactly what it is we are remembering in the first place. (Besides, who is going to miss him anyway?)

Upon further examination of what Memorial/Decoration Day stands for and what they died protecting, it’s no wonder he’s a no-show:

*Our Founding Papers discuss in detail a creed of standards that are to be revered, regardless of where the political views might stem from.

*In order to preserve our independence, we must not allow our rulers to load us with perpetual debt. We must balance between economy and liberty, profusion and servitude.

(THE UNITED STATES CURRENT DEBT LOAD IS $13,001,123,709,305.64 WHICH FOR A POPULATION OF 308,472,173 CALCULATES TO $42,146.83 EACH. SO FAR)
 
 
*Perfect liberty is dependent upon the freedom of the press and cannot be limited without being lost.

(How many places are limiting, removing, and editing speech due to content? I’ve had several of my pieces pulled at the Examiner for what they call ‘hate speech’ which is gelastic as they discussed Islam and/or Racial affairs but certainly are not hateful. I suppose coming from either a Muslim or Liberal it would be ok but from a female conservative it’s forbidden although they have plenty of men and minorities writing such pieces)

*Freedom to live in America as a free country – free of oppression, free of hate, free to worship. Or not.

 

WHAT ABOUT FREEDOM OF RELIGION?

Feisal Abdul Rauf, opened al-Farah Mosque in lower Manhattan in 1990, Seven years later, establishing the American Society for Muslim Advancement (ASMA), a New-York based nonprofit run by his wife, Daisy Khan.

Rauf is also a permant trustee of the ICC (Islamic Cultural Center) employed by Imam Sheik Muhammad Gemeaha who said in 2001 that ‘Jews caused the attacks of 9/11 and if Americans only understood this, they’d do to Jews what Hitler did”

Charming people.

Rauf also stated once that the Prophet Muhammad was known as the ‘first feminist’ and that gender equality is an intrinsic part of Islamic belief! ‘- gee, wonder how Rifqa Barry or the thousands of women battered or sacrificed worldwide would feel about such a statement?

Folks, these are the SAME INDIVIDUALS, who have been granted permission to build a mega mosque at the sacred memorial site where 3,000 Americans lost their lives on September 11, 2001. The site is here:

Which brings me to the events earlier this month right here in my neck of the woods. UCSD Muslim Student Association’s darling, Jumanah Imad Albahri confronted Author/Activist David Horowitz at a Horowitz lecture in an attempt to sidetrack him and make her own ‘political statements.’

He refused the bait, maintaining both calm as well as control of the situation. He also managed to get her to admit her support for Hamas.

What is disturbing is the Muslim Student Association’s ‘Hitler Week’ festivities (which took place all over California’s campuses) were funded at approximately $40,000 from each university for the ‘week long’ cultural event. video here.

Since when is the celebration and planning of genocide an event worthy of:

1) being called a cultural event and

2) being funded with tax dollars?

 

WHY ISN’T THIS ACTIVITY BANNED AS CRIMINAL HATE ACTIVITY?

I do not believe the men and women who died fighting for our Nation would approve of this type of ‘freedom’ and brings me to my final question:

 If they knew how lazy and complacent we would become as a people, allowing this sort of behavior to take place, a President, Congress and Court system that no longer upholds the law.

In fact threatens those who endeavor to do so (Arizona and other States for their stance on illegal immigration) and the Military which has become so politically correct and more concerned about their careers rather than upholding the Constitution which serves ‘We the People’ not ‘Me the President’ would they make the same decisions?

Or might they decide that the America of the future simply …..wasn’t worth saving?

Are Americans accepting this mega-mosque, new mosques all over America, the Islamization of the workplace, schools, communities (including our banks) and other subtle but strong changes because we’re tired? Lazy?

Not understanding how dangerous Islam truly is?

Would you make a little more noise if the Ku Klux Klan wanted to build a ‘cultural monument’ standing fifteen stories high in downtown Chicago?

Perhaps it would be a bit more important to you if several right wing extremist groups raised money (legally) and erected a huge building in Oklahoma City, bearing the ‘McVeigh’ name.

 

What might you think then?

A few items to chew on this Memorial/Decoration day. We are endangering ourselves and disrespecting their memory and everything they fought for.

It says volumes about who we are and I’m embarrassed and ashamed for all of us that we’ve allowed ourselves to be overrun by these various factions of evil that wish nothing but harm to our way of life.

     The modern State of Israel recently attempted to peacefully dissuade a flotilla of ships from landing “humanitarian” supplies at the blockaded Gaza Strip. The flotilla was invited several times by the Israeli government to offload the supplies in Israel proper where the supplies would be delivered once they had been inspected for contraband. The flotilla was determined to run the blockade and was boarded by elements of the IDF.

     There is indisputable video evidence of how murderous the Jihadist occupants of the Turkish ship Mavi Marmara planned to become as they attacked an IDF boarding party. As they were boarding the ship, the leading element of IDF Commandos who were carrying non-lethal paintball guns were immediately and viscously attacked and beaten by men wielding clubs, steel rods, knives, wrist-rocket slingshots and other instruments meant to maim and kill. The IDF soldiers were given permission to use their sidearms only after one of them was thrown 30 feet from the upper to lower deck.

     The Hamas Brothers of CAIR ignore these glaring facts.

     As expected in a case such as this, the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) went into immediate “Blame the Jew” mode of operation.

     From the hate-spewing mouth of CAIR’s Terrorist-Supporting National Executive Director, Nihad Awad: "It is imperative that President Obama not only speak out strongly against this massacre of civilians but also demonstrate our nation's outrage at Israel's brutal actions by taking concrete steps to end the humanitarian siege imposed on Gaza with America's support."

     CAIR notes that there were former ambassadors and even a “Nobel Peace Prize” winner sailing with the flotilla “peace activists”.  How interesting that these supposedly educated people would make common cause with Islamist’s who would reward those who help them by "murdering them last."  As for the Nobel Peace Prize winner, there isn’t a rational person alive on the planet with any respect for a “prize” awarded to the odious Yassir Arafat or other Jew-hating political figures.

     Bloated CAIR Stooge Ibrahim Hooper weighed in with a predictably misleading statement concerning maritime law:  "Israel had no right under international law whatsoever to land military forces on civilian ships in international waters."

     Stanford Law professor Allen Weiner, former State Department lawyer and legal counselor at the American Embassy in the Hague makes the international law issue clear:  "The Israeli blockade itself against Gaza itself is not illegal, and it's okay for Israeli ships to operate in international waters to enforce it."

     The governments of Germany, France, and Turkey have joined in the chorus of condemnation and scorn on Israel.

     Has the world truly gone mad?

     The Israeli Navy intercepted the flotilla in a attempt to prevent the landing of uninspected goods destined for Gaza and into the hands of Hamas- an organization that eats, lives, and breathes the killing of Jews- and it is the Jews fault for refusing to lie down and have his head cut off?

     Europe, no great friend of Jews; where violent skinheads routinely parade in NAZI-type gear with red and black flags reminiscent of the Third Reich, where the Holocaust was planned and carried out not only by Germans but with the eager help of Vichy France and other assorted anti-Semites in other lands, dares to lecture Israel about International Law?  Where was International Law during the Holocaust? Where is the law today? Where is the law when French Police refuse to enforce the law in "no-go" Islamist enclaves throughout France? Where is Great Britain when Islamists routinely hold protests displaying murderous threats and slogans supporting the death of non-muslims, Christians, and Jews and are protected by the Metropolitan Police?

     And yet Europe would presume to lecture the Jews of Israel.

     The Jews learned a hard, bitter lesson from the Holocaust. If they do not stand up for themselves, nobody will.

     The United States will be torn apart if even half the subversive goals of CAIR are met. We already see radicalized Muslim extremists in the highest levels of our government and serving in our military and the police forces of our communities. The Jews of Israel see this and they do the one thing we won’t: they draw the necessary lessons and then prevent it from happening to them.

     If we are serious about preserving life, we must aid and support Israel.

     Israel is not, like many countries, asking us for troops. They only want the means and the good wishes of the United States to do exactly what the United States would do: defend their homeland from attack.

Drug cartels set up phony businesses to launder drug money, usually used car lots, used tire shops that serve as a "front" for their operations.
Valdemar says it all starts when a small business, like a restaurant, is purchased by someone with drug money from Mexico, who sets up shop and starts inviting the city fathers to come for complimentary or discounted meals.
Then invitations are extended to local police and other government officials, until the business operator is well established, with powerful friends.
Drug money is used to send out smear campaign literature to destroy reputations of incumbent city council members and to finance the campaigns of challengers whose goal is to get a majority voting block on the city council.
Once the drug cartel controls the city council, they fire the city attorney, city manager and start giving out contracts, like the trash collection contract, to their cronies.

Liberty, Mexico and Jihad

In early May, a California teacher attended a rally on UCLA’s campus where he proceeded to tell students about a new ‘revolution’ taking place. He warned that it wasn’t just about Mexico but against capitalism and imperialism, the people who had stolen the very land they were standing on in former Mexico, now occupied Mexico/Los Angeles. He went on to mention that with forty million Mexicans living in America, “each could view themselves’ a potential revolutionary and that ‘his’ personal goal was to ‘take over the United States and create a ’great’ land ‘like Venezuela’

Interestingly enough, his goal is not unlike that of the Muslim Brotherhood’s master plan of the early 90’s ‘civilization jihad’ in the US by invading the nation with muslims, establishing mosques and Islamic centers, and eventually bullying communities into submission (like the UK, for example) by establishing Sharia law. The Muslim Brotherhood’s ultimate goal is to become a part, the major part of whatever society they live in.

This can be a successful strategy, ‘using’ the Mexicans in this example as they’ve become accustomed to resettling, migrating from their homeland into America and it’s rooted in their culture as Islam is rooted in theirs. Each sparks resentment and territories at times

Mexicans claim their land is stolen and the same argument is long held between Palestinians and Jews. Where Islam can truly advance in the west, using this situation, is they’re tending to migrate through the mexican culture into America, converting mexicans to Islam in the process at a rapid clip. Where this becomes frightening is when you think about the conversion rate, 40 million mexicans and their current population trends.

It won’t take them long to outnumber us. And then we could be looking at a different set of societal problems, yet much more serious, some known as ‘stealth jihad’ others traditional terrorism. It’s time to wake up, smell the danger lurking about and get serious about security, liberty and the element we’re allowing into our midst. Our lives depend on it.

Dear ‘Madam’ Squeaker (er, sorry, SPEAKER) of the House:

Yesterday, I heard you call the Obama Health Care Bill an “entrepreneurial bill.” You said that if one no longer cared for his job, and had other aspirations – becoming a "Rock Star," for example – THIS BILL WOULD LET YOU DO IT because you could leave your job and still have health insurance.

I think that is wonderful. Especially now, since doctors across this great country, who have done the right thing for their patients (in spite of over 20 years of daily frustration with government threats, interference, and burgeoning bureaucratic demands of every imaginable kind), have had this frustration come to a climax with the very Bill of which you spoke.

I suspect the first Americans to take advantage of this incredible opportunity will be Physicians. As you read this, a bill is working its way through the Mass. Legislature, which will tie medical licensure to the compulsory acceptance of Medicare and Medicaid patients, even if the State price-controlled reimbursement for these patients might bankrupt doctors. [I do understand the problem: the Mass. Health Care Bill is bankrupting the state, in spite of a massive fed bailout, and the easy (political) way to deal with it is not to pay the providers.] So, I imagine Mass. Doctors will be the first to seek a new life.

Second on my list are the physicians of the great state of Texas, where, already, 100-200 doctors a year are saying adios to all Medicare patients (they won't even have to ask for their papers):

"Texas Doctors Opting Out Of Medicare At "Alarming" Rates.
The Houston Chronicle (5/18, Ackerman) reports that "Texas doctors are opting out of Medicare at alarming rates, frustrated by reimbursement cuts they say make participation in government-funded care of seniors unaffordable." Just "two years after a survey found nearly half of Texas doctors weren't taking some new Medicare patients, new data shows 100 to 200 a year are now ending all involvement with the program." Prior to "2007, the number of doctors opting out averaged less than a handful a year."

Of course, you could easily solve this problem too, much as Canada did. After that country established ITS socialized system, telling doctors where to set up shop, 'clawing back' money from them at the end of the year if the budget dictated such tactics, etc., Canadian doctors threatened to strike.

Unimaginable. But Canada broke the backs of the would-be strikers by threatening to throw them in prison, and That was That. I KNOW you could do it too.

Now, thanks to you, Texan physicians REALLY have an incentive to find truly satisfying careers once again. They will surely do so. (Have you ever read "Atlas Shrugged" by the way? I suggest you familiarize yourself with it so that you may better understand what the future has in store for Medicine in America.)

AMERICAN DENIED RE-ENTRY INTO AMERICA THROUGH MEXICAN BORDER

(WASHINGTON, D.C., 5/14/10) --

CAIR, the 'Boil on the butt of America' is freaking out and called on the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) to end what they're referring to as a "forced exile" of a Muslim 'citizen' who was recently detained by Mexican authorities and questioned about his faith, at the behest of the FBI.
Raymond Earl Knaeble IV, a 29-year-old California-born muslim, has been stranded in Colombia, (where he had been visiting relatives).. since March after being placed on a no-fly list undisclosed reasons.


Earlier this week, Knaeble traveled to Mexico, hoping to cross into the United States overland through that nation. He was stopped by Mexican authorities as he got off the plane and detained although not accused of a crime.

Nadhira Al-Khalili, Knaeble's attorney, is angry about the forced 'exile', noting that Knaeble could just have easily have been detained in the United States. (hey, get OVER it! every single time I have traveled for the past several years, I've been stopped and profiled, this tickles me pink!)

The FBI has so far refused to discuss Knaeble's case with his legal representative.
