Lee Iacocca wants to know where our Leaders have gone?

Remember Lee Iacocca, He's now 82 years old and has a new book, 'Where Have All The Leaders Gone?'.

Lee Iacocca Says:

'Am I the only guy in this country who's fed up with what's happening? Where the hell is our outrage? We should be  screaming bloody murder! We've got a gang of clueless bozos  steering our ship of state right over a cliff, we've got  corporate gangsters stealing us blind, and we can't even clean  up after a hurricane much less build a hybrid car. But instead  of getting mad, everyone sits around and nods their heads when  the politicians say, 'Stay the course..'

Stay the  course? You've got to be kidding. This is America , not the  damned, 'Titanic'. I'll give you a sound bite: 'Throw all the  bums out!'

You might think I'm getting senile, that  I've gone off my rocker, and maybe I have. But someone has to  speak up. I hardly recognize this country anymore..

The  most famous business leaders are not the innovators but the  guys in handcuffs.. While we're fiddling in Iraq , the Middle  East is burning and nobody seems to know what to do. And the  press is waving 'pom-poms' instead of asking hard questions..  That's not the promise of the ' America ' my parents and yours  traveled across the ocean for. I've had enough. How about you?

I'll go a step further. You can't call yourself a  patriot if you're not outraged. This is a fight I'm ready and  willing to have. The Biggest 'C' is Crisis! (Iacocca  elaborates on nine C's of leadership, with crisis being the  first.)

Leaders are made, not born. Leadership is  forged in times of crisis. It's easy to sit there with your  feet up on the desk and talk theory... Or send someone else's  kid off to war when you've never seen a battlefield yourself.  It's another thing to lead when your world comes tumbling  down.

On September 11, 2001, we needed a  strong  leader more than any other time in our history. We needed a  steady hand to guide us out of the ashes. A hell of a mess, so  here's where we stand.

We're immersed in a bloody war  with no plan for winning and no plan for leaving.

We're running the biggest deficit in the history of  the country.

We're losing the manufacturing edge to    Asia , while our once-great companies are getting slaughtered  by health care costs.

Gas prices are skyrocketing, and  nobody in power has a coherent energy policy. Our schools are  in trouble.

Our borders are like sieves.

The  middle class is being squeezed every which way.

These  are times that cry out for leadership.

But when you  look around, you've got to ask: 'Where have all the leaders  gone?' Where are the curious, creative communicators? Where  are the people of character, courage, conviction, omnipotence,  and common sense? I may be a sucker for alliteration, but I  think you get the  point..

Name me a leader who has  a better idea for homeland security than making us take off  our shoes in airports and throw away our shampoo?

We've  spent billions of dollars building a huge new bureaucracy, and  all we know how to do is react to things that have already  happened.

Name me one leader who emerged from the  crisis of Hurricane Katrina. Congress has yet to spend a  single day evaluating the response to the hurricane or  demanding accountability for the decisions that were made in  the crucial hours after the storm.

Everyone's  hunkering down, fingers crossed, hoping it doesn't happen  again. Now, that's just crazy. Storms happen. Deal with it...  Make a plan. Figure out what you're going to do the next  time.

Name me an industry leader who is thinking  creatively about how we can restore our competitive edge in  manufacturing. Who would have believed that there could ever  be a time when 'The Big Three' referred to Japanese car  companies? How did this happen, and more important, what are  we going to do about it?

Name me a government leader  who can articulate a plan for paying down the debit, or  solving the energy crisis, or managing the health care  problem... The silence is deafening. But these are the crises  that are eating away at our country and milking the middle  class dry.

I have news for the gang in Congress. We  didn't elect you to sit on your rear ends and do nothing and  remain silent while our democracy is being hijacked and our  greatness is being replaced with mediocrity. What is everybody  so afraid of? That some bonehead on NBC news or CNN news will  call them a name? Give me a break. Why don't you guys show  some spine for a change?

Had Enough? Hey, I'm not  trying to be the voice of gloom and doom here.  I'm  trying to light a fire. I'm speaking out because I have hope -  I believe in America . In my lifetime, I've had the privilege  of living through some of America 's greatest moments. I've  also experienced some of our worst crises: The 'Great  Depression,' 'World War  II,' the 'Korean War,' the  'Kennedy Assassination,' the 'Vietnam War,' the 1970's oil  crisis, and the struggles of recent years culminating with  9/11.

If I've learned one thing, it's this: 'You don't  get anywhere by standing on the sidelines waiting for somebody  else to take action. Whether it's building a better car or  building a better future for our children, we all have a role  to play. That's the challenge I'm raising in this book. It's a  "Call to Action" for people who, like me, believe in America  '. It's not too late, but it's getting pretty close. So let's  shake off the crap and go to work. Let's tell 'em all we've  had 'enough.'
Make your  own contribution by sending this to everyone you know and care  about. It's our country, folks, and it's our future. Our  future is at stake!!

Islamic Honor killing in Seattle

Islamic Honor killing in Seattle

This is weird.

A Muslim from Afghanistan beat his brother to death for making disparaging remarks about his wife without ceasing.

Is this happening with greater frequency or is that my imagination? The idiot in Arizona who tried to run his daughter down, the woman who attacked her husband with a butcher knife, the man in Texas who killed his daughters, Rifqa Bary who defected from Islam to Christianity...all cases of Islamic families in threatening situations.

Muslim violence should ALWAYS be taken seriously. Anyone who doubts this must read the qur'an. Yes, they may be nuts but they do take their ideology very seriously.

Rifqa Bary returns to Ohio against her will

Rifqa Bary returns to Ohio against her will

The teenage girl is back in Ohio after running away to Florida out of fear she'll become the victim of an honor killing for converting from Islam to Christianity. Although she seems to be ok for now, we're watching this case closely and will continue to do so...and would encourage others to report anything suspicious or disturbing. It's important to note that the US presently reports approximately 5000 honor killings annually although this number is largely under reported.

The Florida Department of Children and Families says 17-year-old Rifqa Bary arrived Tuesday in Columbus accompanied by a state social worker and a Florida police officer. Bary is now in the custody of Franklin County Children Services, which was given control of her case earlier this month. She will stay with a foster family and undergo counseling. She's also under State supervised telephone and internet authority.

No additional information has been reported regarding her online Facebook prayer group, where she originally met her Florida church friends. Our hope is that she can remain safe while raising awareness to the plight of muslim women through her story everywhere by continuing to speak out and refusing to remain silent.

Muslim woman attacks husband with knife

Muslim wife attacks husband with knife

While it's true that Islam is an odd and twisted political ideology, chock full of kid and goat lovers who've apparently never heard of human rights, it IS a bit off the wall for the wife to snap. It's almost always the husband or male family member, in their frustration due to the inability to control a female family member. (some of those circumstances permit the killing of the female in order to 'cleanse' the family 'honor') Rabia Sarwar, in a written note confession, slashed her husband's throat, when after five months of marriage he changed from a 'devout' muslim into a 'regular man'

According to her, he'd force her to eat pork, drink alcohol and wear short clothing, all things completely against their culture and upbringing. At first she complied with his wishes but soon she complained and became upset. He threatened to have her parents 'mutilated' according to reports.

One night while he slept, she slit his neck with a kitchen knife. He fought her off, called the police and she was arrested but later released on $25,000 bail. What seems odd is that this person who professes to be a 'devout muslim' apparently 'just' loves Salman Rushdie, yet hates Pakistanis ...and married a girl from Pakistan. He had to understand that this would certainly be a situation bound to implode at some point.

American Oil, Close our Borders

This has been on my mind for quite some time and I've shared it with others, like-minded friends and loved ones.  It's been a very difficult year for most Americans.  Our Government passed bill after bill, admitting that they are not bothering to take the time to read them first let alone keep the promise of posting them online for our perusal prior to voting. Fascinating that Our President has the time to play his routine 18 holes of golf, travel more than any other Leader in our history yet doesn't have time to read bills or explain his actions to the taxpaying public. (but then as a wonderfully logical friend pointed out, we're safer with him golfing because then he's not writing new policy!)

My true message is we have been sitting on a gold mine since 1969 and the leaders in our party are probably as clueless about this as I was.  To what do I refer?  Domestic Oil Wells.  Most American oil wells were capped in the late 60's. including my families.

Back in 2004, my Father, younger brother and I started talking with the tax assessors office in Louisiansa and Texas where they are held in border offices and I started poking around for statistics and learned that there are THOUSANDS of similar wells that were capped at/around the same time that are still full of mostly  natural gas that feasibly could easily be a prime source of fuel for America.  I was three when ours was capped, up until then it was one of the sources of wealth for my father's family.

Engineers have been continuing to work on the uncapping process although it's tricky especially in this political climate but it truly has me wondering...if our government can pass a bill that allows universal healthcare, reporting of mental health records into a database, regulation of firearms, potential regulation of talk radio, potential dumbing down of our credit system, the most draconian regulatory physician mandates ever to be allowed in the United States - certainly we can get the fuel companies to allow the following to happen for the greater good:

If a BIPARTISAN Government trust was housed with a trustworthy party, such as a non-Government (frankly none of them have shown trustworthiness lately!!!)   No payouts to the oil companies but their taxes would be reduced greatly and their cooperation would be required.  They've had a strangle on the country for quite long enough.

By pooling the thousands of trusts together, uncapping the wells and allowing our own resources to be pooled from our own nation, we are doing the following:

1.  CONTROLLING THE COST OF FUEL
2.  ELIMINATING THE NEED FOR FORIEGN FUEL
3.  CREATING A POT FOR CLEAN EMISSIONS/FUEL
4.  ELIMINATING ALL DEBT/PLUS THE IMPENDING DEBT FROM Tarp II

(not to mention, we CAN and SHOULD close all borders incoming and outgoing Southern and Northern until ALL undocumented workers are accounted for. In California alone, it accounts for 50 % of the dollar deficit and this is unacceptable when the cost is being picked up by the taxpaying public.)
ONCE PAID?

1.  GOVERNMENT IS FLUSH WITH CASH TO REBUILD - UNDER STRICT SCRUTINY FROM THE PEOPLE
2.. FAMILIES WHO OWN THE WELLS GET TO ENJOY THEM
3.  GOVERNMENT WOULD REPAY THE FAMILIES 2 % TO FAMILIES FOR BORROWING AGAINST WELLS AND FAMILIES WOULD NEVER PAY TAXES AGAIN (WE WOULDN'T HAVE ACCESS TO FUNDS WHILE WELLS ARE BEING USED)
4.  GOVERNMENT WOULD BUILD A 'GREAT WALL OF CHINA' STYLE WALL AROUND THE BORDER TO MEXICO AND PUT 24 HR COPS/W UZIS ON THE BORDER WITH IMMEDIATE ORDERS TO SHOOT ANYONE WHO VIOLATES ORDERS TO STAY AWAY.  MEXICO'S DRUG WAR IS OUT OF CONTROL AND OUR SAFETY MUST COME FIRST, PERIOD.

Currently, none of this is able to happen, because different Gas companies hold the mineral rights to different wells in various parts of the company and they refuse to work together - THIS IS INAPPROPRIATE.  This infantile attitude is holding up progress in our nation and keeping a fundamental area of economics from development that could seal up several areas.  Now don't you wonder why they would do this?

MONEY.  it's greed. pure greed. It's time to put the greed aside and force them to work together for the good of the people. and NOT put Barney Frank, Pelosi or any of the rest of them in the middle of it. Case in Point? Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac. Disaster.  This is one area where touching one's cloak will not fix things, it must be bipartisan and not on someone else's dime.  Part of the problem is our 'leaders' are NOT business people and are so used to collecting paychecks whether or not they are useful on the job. this is extremely unproductive and not good for the business of America.

We must work together.
