ONE NATION UNDER SIEGE

They’re the two little words that can bring the conversation of a dozen people to a screeching halt at a dinner party.

Health care.

Regardless of which side your political bread is buttered on, this debate can divide friendships, dissolve professional relationships and complicate legislative power struggles that can last for days, weeks or decades. (look how long Ted Kennedy carried on)

One remaining question, however, has been one of a somewhat philosophical nature. Is health care a privilege or is it a right?

To Conservatives, such as myself, we would naturally observe our Founding papers, as well as our conscience for the answers to this delicate question. According to The Declaration of Independence, “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.-“

The answer, therefore, is simple. Certainly, we’re entitled to pursue health care to the maximum of our capacity. I believe it’s a wise idea for employers to offer benefits to their workforce, along with flexible spending plans, medical savings accounts, flexible savings accounts, etc.  Frankly, I cannot imagine going ‘without’ insurance, and feel that health coverage should be budgeted into every family’s ‘fixed’ column, never a variable expense, especially if there are children involved.  It’s imperative to be an educated consumer and in this day and age, there is never an excuse for a company to not have a well-informed Broker on file whose job (and often passion) it is to provide answers to their Client’s employees, save you money and offer as many tax advantages as possible.

America’s health care system is badly in need of repair (such as tort reform for physicians) but still quite a wonderful system, the best in the world, and should NOT be turned over to the federal government. (case in point: Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Auto industry, AIG, Housing industry, Banking industry, VA, Postal system, Social Security, Medicare/Medicaid, need I continue?)

Might I point out that the 47 million uninsured number that continues to be tossed about is highly inaccurate. A closer examination shows that the number is much closer to 17 million with the balance discrepancy divided as follows:

Approximately ¼ are eligible for Medicare but have not applied yet or are waiting to hear back from the Government; One sixth are illegal immigrants and although they are to be covered under Obamacare, they are not entitled to benefits; the rest are divided between uninsured Adults and Children – except, that children are insurable under State insurance plans, but parents must apply, Many people assume that if they cannot afford insurance they cannot get it, which is simply not the case. It may seem that most of the uninsured folks are in between jobs, cannot afford insurance (and do not apply for federal and/or state benefits) or choose not to afford it for a number of reasons. They’d rather have a fancy car than pay premiums.

For the Obama Administration to haughtily shove the health care bill through the House and Senate is not only Unconstitutional, it aptly illustrates the level of depravity to which these criminal minded individuals currently at the helm of our Nation are willing to sink in order to seize power and demonstrate their intent on monetary and legal rape of our civil liberties and capitalist system, pushing us deeper under a Marxist regime.

Article 6 of the Constitution requires the members of both houses of Congress to "be bound by oath or affirmation" to support said Constitution, yet I’d be surprised if our Congressional or Senate members are even vaguely aware of its tenants, despite their signatures and oath.

How else do you explain their acts of treason? I’ll explain:

Although the health care bill DOES contain death panels, rationed care, massive pay cuts for physicians (enough to probably guarantee that many will take early retirement and far fewer will enter the practice of medicine) questionable legal practices, tiered decision panels by Government employees, NOT physicians, etc., that is not the main concern with this bill and it’s been overlooked by the American people as well as Congress/Senate but certainly not the Obama Administration, who crafted the bill.

IT DISMANTLES THE CONSTITUTION ITSELF.

Through a massive transfer of power to the Executive Branch, in an effort to change everything about our Nation, it unravels the delicate balance of power hand-crafted by our founding fathers and is quite irreversible. Please go back and re-read the last few lines. They are the most critical of this article.

1)     The Executive, Legislative and Judicial Branches of the U.S. Government will be transferred to the Obama Administration with the signing of this bill. The American people and their businesses will be under Obama’s authority. The odd and ironic part of all of this is that Congress does not have the Constitutional or legal authority to make such changes in the first place.

2)     Links to the Constitution, Declaration of Independence and Bill of Rights are provided below for your review. I encourage you to peruse them and become as familiar as possible with these documents.

3)     The health care bill also allows the Obama Administration to access ALL of your personal health care information, financial information, employer records, physician/hospital records, and computerized information.

This is a specific violation of the Third and Fourth amendment.

If you decide to ‘spend’ your budget on something other than health care or” they” disagree with your choice of coverage, under this bill’s provisions, they can impose a fine (yet call it a ‘tax’) and even impose jail time, in direct violation of the Fifth Amendment.

The details are unbelievably complicated but suffice it to say that the Obama Administration has written an extremely offensive bill that is in direct violation with the 3rd, 4th, 5th 6th, 9th and 10th portions of our Founding papers.

And that brings me to my final question and thought: One that I’m SURE Obama thought of but I’m not certain anyone else has. If all power is transferred to the Obama Administration, thereby rendering the Constitution invalid, then Obama can terminate term limits for himself…..can’t he?

Wouldn’t that be something?
